Brexit: Pet Travel Update

For the rest of 2020, there’ll be no change to European Pet Travel regulations.

As you’ll no doubt be aware, the UK left the European Union on 31st January 2020. We’re now in a transition period, which will last until the 31st December 2020.

During the transition period, pet owners will be able to travel to Europe with their pets in the normal way – i.e. with a pet passport. The process may well change at the beginning of next year but until then, there’s no change.

My cat doesn’t have a pet passport?

If you plan to travel with your pet this year and they don’t yet have a pet passport, come and see us as soon as you can. It can take a few weeks before your pet is eligible to travel.
